FACING THE CHALLENGES OF HEALTH CARE REFORM: AN INTERVIEW WITH PROFESSOR GORDON LIU
AbstractDr. Gordon Liu is a professor of economics in Guanghua School of Management, Peking University; and Director of the PKU China Center for Health Economic Research (CHER). He was previously a tenured faculty at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill (2000 – 2006); and University of Southern California (1994 – 2000). Dr. Liu serves on the Chinese Ministry of Health Expert Commission for Emergent Public Health Events and Chair of the Asian Consortium for the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR). He was the elected President (2004-2005) of the Chinese Economists Society. For professional services, Dr. Liu serves as Co-Editor of the ISPOR official journal, Value in Health, and Editor-in-Chief of the China Journal of Pharmaceutical Economics. His primary research interests include health economics, health capital investment and economic growth, and pharmaceutical economics.
